Freddy-VS-Freddy by MasterKenny Freddy-VS-Freddy by MasterKenny
Aaaand, this is my submition for the contest at :iconanoes-fanatics:

I guess not many people would agree with me, but Robert Englund is the one and only IRREPLACEABLE Freddy Krueger. The other one is a completely different character.
If we exclude Freddy, the remake was awesome and I really enjoyed it! (=

I hope you'd like my attempt of drawing a commicbook page (=

Freddy Krueger (c) Wes Craven
Fanart (c) Al Boichone

EDIT: Thank you so much for the appreciation, I'm so happy you like the commic page (= And I'm even more happy most agree with me about good ol' Freddy being the best :headbang:

To be honest I think the Jackie Freddy could've been good, since the actor is good. Problem was that the director did the mistake of trying to bring Freddy back to the roots while the rest of the setting was modernized. It felt akward, not especially scary, and he totally wasted the budget when it came to the special effects. When it comes to dreams, there's untold potential in a project, and the remake just went for the kills and gore instead of the suspence.

I get what you`re saying but you can`t put all the blame on Director Samuel Bayer . He wanted to make a much darker , more cerebral Film showing more of what goes on in Freddy`s twisted brain as well as more of the twisted Freddy/Nancy quasi-romance . However , the studio wanted more ambiguity and so had alot of the key scenes to Bayer`s vision cut out and replaced with jump scares , gore and more homages to the older Films ( Originally , only the first two Films were supposed to be referenced , the studio had references to Freddy vs. Jason added in ) .

I'm gonna tip-toe out on a limb here, but I love both incarnations of Freddy.
Robert Englund shall forever be irreplacable in the Elm Street series, but I found the Jackie Earle Haley Freddy to be a bit more realistic in his tone, burn makeup, and actions, so they both work for well in my mind.

The new Freddy deffinately acted quite appropriately, like when the teen who ended up in prison, the one who was supposed to be Jesse, I guess (don't remember), asked "what do you want from me?" The new Freddy certainly acted as I would have. Ask him if he make make everything like before, bring the dead back to life, and ultimately scare the living hell out of him face to face. Doing this made him seem more serious than Freddy had been nearing the end of the original Elm Street series.

Robert's Freddy gave off a vibe that he has all this power at his disposal, so he's about to abuse the fuck out of it and have fun and get vengeance in the process. After killing the first Elm Street kids, it was all for the fun, and considering he couldn't truely be killed, he could be witty and poke fun at his victims and reckless with all of his power. The new Freddy did this as well, being somewhat witty right near the end, but only because he was after "his favorite", which sorta called for it.

Anyway, pardon my little rant(?). Just had to voice my oppinion of Freddy.

I totally agree . Robert Englund`s Freddy in the originals was campy fun . Jackie Earle Haley`s Freddy was balls-to-the-wall terrifying and truer to the original conception of Freddy . I loved them both in different ways . :)

Yep. That's why I love the series ^w^

Now the question is, will there ever be a Freddy vs Jason remake with the most recent incarnation of Jason? *raises eyebrow* I kinda did a picture for that, though. XD
